Vacation Crochet
This week (and the next 3) I'm in Florida visiting my lovely mother and two sisters. It's been warm, muggy and rainy. It's also hurricane season, so they tell me, but I have seen the sun and it's beautiful here even when it does rain.
My daughter and I flew down on Tuesday after a 6 hour delay. You read that correctly. SIX hours. You need to understand something; I was terrified of flying. Just the thought of it made me quake in my shoes. But I did alright, I believe the delay helped.
During the wait, I walked around, had a hotdog, played some Solitaire and of course, crocheted. Let me say something positive here: the airline gave away drinks to those passengers waiting for the delayed flight. So I didn't have to spend $2-$3 for a 12 ounce can of Coke. Here's a pic of what I was working on while I waited:
This is the same pattern I posted a couple weeks ago just not as wide. It's going to make a beautiful scarf and I'm pleased with how it's turning out.
So what things do you work on while vacationing? Do you take along intricate, involved projects or just a couple skeins and a hook, something to play around with while you're having downtime?
I hope you have a great holiday if you're celebrating 4th of July with the rest of America. If not, I wish you the same thing!
Peace and blessings,
~~Karen~~
