I took a much needed break from blogging over this holiday season, not because I hate blogging but because I was feeling stagnant. You ever get in a slump like that? Deck the Crochet Halls

How was your Thanksgiving? Did you eat yourself sick and then go back for seconds? Or did you stuff the turkey then your face then your buggy? I couldn't believe it when I saw the ads this year for Black Friday (which is the fastest growing anti -holiday in America). Did you know that some crazy people, yes I went there, were lined up NINE days ahead of time for deals on TV's (not to mention the store would only have 8 of said TV)? Oh, and did you ever wonder if those crazy people take into account the money they lose in pay from real jobs, buying extra food for the camping trip, possibly new tents and sleeping bags? I can see it now ....  Man #1: "Hey Bob! How was your vacation?" Bob: "Oh, it was great! I was first in line at Blah Blah store to save 25%!" Man #1: "You don't say? Wow, I only saved 20% when I bought that TV in September." I say Boycott Black Friday and save yourself a lot of hassle. I might make shirts next year. ANY...

I'm ROARing again!

Image
Oh  my goodness! I missed posting yesterday! I wish I had a good excuse but I don't . . . unless you count worry. My husband and two sons are away at a music festival in Kentucky (yes, they have them in other places, not just Woodstock). My youngest didn't want to go, she's more into " glamping " than camping. I think I could get into glamping . . . if I could afford something like that. Anyway . . . .  I made some more bracelets. With Pringles lids! A few weeks back I posted this project, a bracelet using up-cycled elements. This time it's basically the same thing with a twist! Can you believe this is made from the lid to a PRINGLES  can?!?!?!?!?!? Well it's actually two  lid rims. And buttons . . . of course. The buttons are just stitched on for decoration, they aren't holding anything together. The wide strips of yellow are doing that. I made this in less than 3 hours. Most of that time was deciding on yarn colors. I picked a dark blue ...

Scarf and Hat I made and donated to a local elementary school (Along with 8 other sets) Double Awareness Ribbon Pin My pattern! So easy! Bracelet I made in May when my niece was born. I love buttons! So I made a necklace with them. A Work in Progress (WiP) which is now finished. It's a Ripple Scarf. Another button project. This time it's a hair pin. Anyone NOT know what this is? Angry Bird crochet hat. I made 2 of them as Christmas gifts for my sons. This one is a Cat Toy. My pattern. Added catnip and gave a set of the birds to a friend as a Christmas gift. Since I was in an Angry Bird mood and my oldest daughter loves pigs . . . Go Mountaineers!  Slouchy hat I made for my daughter. Added a bit of eyelash yarn to the edge and it looks awesome on her! My youngest ...
