Arrr, Mates! Tis Talk Like a Pirate Day!

Talk Like a Pirate Day has been a day of celebration for those that love pirates or just a random day to do something different. Conceived by a bunch of friends and made a national sensation by Dave Barry, National Talk Like a Pirate Day has had people by the eye-patch for about 10 years. Maybe longer in some areas.

In honor of this frivolous and fun "holiday", here are some links to patterns from other crafters that can help you celebrate your inner swashbuckler.

Here are some Granny Squares to help get you in the mood:
Repeat Crafter Me

How about an outfit for that office party on September 19th? Or even Halloween?

If you aren't into a complete outfit, try the essential pirate accessory!
DIY Geekery
And last but not least, the hard core swashbuckler's favorite friend, Polly! (Polly is a pattern available for purchase on Etsy. But his name isn't Polly, that's just what I would have called him.)
Amigurumi Parrot

So there we have it. Items I've personally found neat, cute and adorable! But don't tell my inner pirate that!

Peace and Blessings,

  1. Love those little crochet's patches! Super cool!
