Our Food Journey on Vacation

Our trip to Columbus this past weekend was so invigorating and relaxing and exciting and full of surprises!

Okay, technically we didn't stay in Columbus. It was about a 35 to 40 minute drive into the city and that got us straight to the parking lot at North Market (located at 59 Spruce St). More on that later.

Here's a few pictures of the food we had and where you can get it, too!

Cheddar cheese and bacon covered crispy hand cut
potato chips at Hide-A Way Lodge Restaurant and Micro-Brewery

The Lodge Burger, also from Hide-A-Way Hills Lodge

Fruit and Cream Waffle from Taste of Belgium
at the North Market. Yummy blackberries!

A trip to North Market is not complete
without visiting Jeni's Splendid Ice-cream!
These flavors are Cultured Key Lime Pie Frozen Yogurt
and Cantaloupe and Sun Tea Sorbet.
Both are for a limited time only!

These three are from The Columbus Brewing Company.
The top is their brewed on site Columbus Summer Teeth Pale Ale.
In the middle we have the Honey Pecan Chicken Salad Wrap and on the
Bottom is their Pulled Pork BBQ with a sauce made from their own pale ale.

These two are from Donatos Pizza in Lancaster, Oh.
I realize this is a chain but we don't have any where I live.
Plus, is was some pretty kick ass pizza and bread sticks.

This is lunch from Brenen's Coffee and Cafe in Athens, Oh.
We were almost finished eating when hubby
reminded me that I hadn't snapped a pic! Oops!
I was really enjoying my Gobbler Deluxe with cole slaw.

That's all I have for today.
More about our trip to North Market tomorrow!

Peace and blessings,
~~Karen~~
