Hand Sanitizer Holder Pattern

Image
The past couple of weeks have left me feeling flat and down-right exhausted . I was sick back to back with an abscessed tooth followed by an upper respiratory infection that involved both ears and a sinus infection. Needless to say I'm pooped. And since I feel like I should keep posting every week I've deci ded to reissue this pattern . It's a " backpack " hand sanitizer holder. You can see the original posting here if you'd like. It was first posted b ack in April of 2012 (one of my first patterns) and I've since seen several people on Etsy using this pattern to make and sell them . I think that's great! But instead of buying one for $10 you should make your own! Crochet Hand Sanitizer Holder Pattern Materials: small amount of cotton yarn (I used Lily Sugar'n Cream Lime Stripes) size H crochet hook 2 small buttons sewing needle thread embroidery needle for weaving in the ends 1 fl oz bottle of hand sanitizer Gau...

Sashay Crochet Chain Scarf

Image
Have you seen these scarves ? They're beautiful but finding that yarn around here is near impossible. One of my lovely sisters sent me some to play with, she caught it at a craft store near her for $5 a skein. She's in Florida so that might be the big difference. I received two skeins, one in purple and one in burgundy. The purple one I made the frilly, ruffle way and the other I made into a chain scarf as seen in this video by Mikey from the Crochet Crowd . Here's what I did: Pattern Sashay Crochet Chain Scarf With a P hook and one skein of Red Heart Sashay yarn, leave a 6" tail and chain 80. Chain one, sc second ch from hook and in each chain across. Tie off and cut leaving a 6" tail.  With remaining yarn and a size K hook, make a simple flower and sew it to the end opposite the 6" tails. Now all I have left to do is decide ...

Okay, so I ran across this on Pinterest and thought I'd make one for this blog post instead of another heart. I know hearts scream VALENTINE'S DAY but there are soooo maannyy hearts out there. Now bear in mind this is not my original pattern . If you have Pinterest and can see that link you'll immediately notice that it's in Russian or Korean (or something ... I know someone that can read that is laughing at me ^_^). And while I don't read any language other than English I can (on a good day) understand charts.  This is my interpretation of the chart available here .  Pucker Up! Luscious Lips Crochet Pattern Materials: I used ... Lily Sugar 'n Cream Cotton in Wine size H crochet hook scissors embroidery needle You can always use your own choice and colors of yarn just be sure to use the recommended hook size shown on the yarn label.
