Baby Doll DONE!

Image
I am so in love with this little doll! I started off using a free pattern I found online, but the directions made no sense. So I just winged it and made my own design. I'm working on getting the directions on virtual paper (my blog - lol) so I can share her with all of you.  My next step is probably going to be a boyfriend but we'll see.  I'm still in Florida as I post this from my iPod but I'll be home by Sunday. I've had a blast on this extended vacation and I will be sharing design credit on this doll with my sweet mother, Nyoka, because she helped.  Have a great week.  Peace and blessings, ~~Karen~~

Baby Doll Re-Do Update!

The fake lashes from the cosmetics department are so adorable. I'm much happier with the eyes now! Hair is next!

Baby Doll Re-Do

I've made dolls before. You know, the amigurumi type. This time, I thought I'd try to do anime eyes. Bear in mind one thing though; I'm getting rid of the eyelashes you see here. When she's finished, with hair and all that jazz, she's going to have different lashes.  Just looking at the eyes, tell me what you think! This is my first time trying to embroider anime eyes so be gentle! I'm also thinking of removing the buttons. I just haven't decided yet.  And I'm still in Florida! I'll be here for another 10 days or so. I'm posting using my iPod and can't respond to any comments for some reason, but I am seeing the ones you post. So Thank You! Have a great week.  Peace and blessings, ~~Karen~~

Vacation and I'm Still Hooking!

Image
So even when I'm enjoying the company of family, I crochet. And so do they! Lol. Did you doubt it? I didn't think so.  I'm making things for my soon to be here grandchild and found this pattern online. And I love it. My younger sister made the yellow one, newborn sized. I made the multi-colored one, 0 to 3 months.  This pattern works up quick and looks great! It's available from The Knittless Knitter Crochets. Sorry it's not a link, I'm working from an iPod.  If you're looking for a quick gift for that baby shower, I highly recommend this one.  Enjoy your week. I know I will be! Peace and blessings,  ~~Karen~~

Vacation Crochet

Image
This week (and the next 3) I'm in Florida visiting my lovely mother and two sisters. It's been warm, muggy and rainy. It's also hurricane season, so they tell me, but I have seen the sun and it's beautiful here even when it does rain.  My daughter and I flew down on Tuesday after a 6 hour delay. You read that correctly. SIX hours. You need to understand something; I was terrified of flying. Just the thought of it made me quake in my shoes. But I did alright, I believe the delay helped.  During the wait, I walked around, had a hotdog, played some Solitaire and of course, crocheted. Let me say something positive here: the airline gave away drinks to those passengers waiting for the delayed flight. So I didn't have to spend $2-$3 for a 12 ounce can of Coke. Here's a pic of what I was working on while I waited: This is the same pattern I posted a couple weeks ago just not as wide. It's going to make a beautiful scarf and I'm pleased with how it's turning...
